Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Wednesday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.32% to settle at 43,108.77 points, from the previous close of 43,245.02points, bringing the year-to-date to 7.14%, the month-to-date to 11.34% and the week-to-date to -0.21% respectively.
Investors lost 71million as Market Capitalization depreciated by 0.32% to close at N22.494 trillion from the previous close of N22.565 trillion. An aggregate of 268.112 billion units of shares were traded in 3,821 deals, valued at N4.216 bllion.
The market breadth closed negative as 14 equities gained while 24 equities declined in their share prices.
Honyflour Plc led other gainers with 9.76% growth to close at N4.05 from the previous close of N3.69
AIICO, Regalins and Ikeja Hotel amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.47%, 8.33% and 8.00% respectively.
MRS Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.87% off its share price to close at N13.70 from the previous close of N15.20.
Chams, ETI and ChiPlc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 8.70%, 8.57% and 8.06% respectively.
HonyFlour Plc traded about 52.467million units of its shares in 368 deals, valued at N209.572Million.
GTCO Plc traded about 22.957million units of its shares in 348 deals, valued at N578.561Million.
Zenith Bank Plc traded about 22.886million units of its shares in 278 deals, valued at N559.037Million.
